Neil Smith : Personal Bio

I have previously worked as a research assistant for a French chemical company. Research interests included environmentally benign synthesis, chemical kinetics and molecular simulation, and laboratory automation. Following a decline in the chemical industry I decided to change career direction, to use some of the IT skills I have learned over the past 2 years.

Since November 2000, I have worked for the Bristol based company Sift building & maintaining community and commercial websites. Following a round of redundancies, I have been concentrating on building and promoting my netmeeting conference site (www.fresh-toast.net) together with some freelance site development work.

I have a several CV's available, one which highlights my research & chemical experience, and one covering my IT and recent employment activities. An HTML version can be found here. Word 97 and Acrobat PDF versions are available below, and a plain text version and other formats are available by contacting me.
